Above is the latest severe weather outlook for this evening from the SPC in Norman OK. Game 3 of the World Series will be played at The Ballpark in Arlington (between Dallas & Ft. Worth) this evening, beginning at 7:05 PM CDT.
Unless the game goes into extra innings, I think they'll escape the thunderstorm threat. Activity is forecast to develop over central Oklahoma by mid-evening, and then congeal into an organized complex that will slide Southeastward across the Red River late this evening or early tonight.
The latest HRRR computer model forecast depicts the activity just North of the Red River at 11pm CDT this evening, as shown in the image below:
If that forecast verifies (and based on current trends I believe that it will) then the game should be rain free...
Folks in the central and southern two-thirds of Oklahoma should be on the alert for possible severe weather by late afternoon or early evening, progressing Southward during the evening hours. Large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threats.
